NAVIGATING INTIMACY AND CONSENT

Every other month, see Calendar

Free for all

In this series of workshops we explore the many nuances and challenges of consent - from how we feel it in our body, to communicating  what we really want and how we express what we don’t want - and how to deal with the difficult emotions surrounding rejection, shame, not feeling met or seen and not expressing our true wishes.

What to expect:

Consent is about so much more than just saying yes and no and it’s not as simple as it’s made out to be. The core essence of consent is about learning to feel your own boundaries, respect boundaries of others and learning how to stay in communication with yourself and others while continuously living and exploring your own life and body.

We want to offer a safer space for you to explore for yourself. Our belief is that consent is a muscle that requires continuous training and is fundamental in all kinds of relationships you have in life - and we would like to share and practise this with you.

Each evening we will shine a light on some of the fundamental principles of consent and some of the challenges that we might encounter when practising embodied consent. While we recommend that you do all the workshops, it is not necessary to take them in any specific order.

We will guide you to land in your body through a short exercise with yourself before we introduce the topic of the evening. We will go through exercises that help you practise what we’ve learned. Everything is an invitation and you are never expected to participate outside of your personal boundaries. Any exercises that require connecting with others and touch - the touch will be limited to only hands!

When working with ourselves and boundaries, sometimes difficult emotions come up. There will always be at least two skilled facilitators present at these workshops to hold the space. However they do not offer therapy in this space, they are here to help navigate any struggles you might have.

Arrive from 18.30, workshop starts at 19.00 and you cannot arrive after this time.
