TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By purchasing a product or service from House of Play, attending an event or class at House of Play, or using our website (houseofplay.dk), you agree to be bound by our Terms and Conditions, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
1. Our Code of Conduct
2. Membership benefits
3. Buying and cancelling tickets, no-show fee
4. Waiting list
5. Discount for students and others with low income
6. Our Calendar and policy for cancelled events
7. Payment terms
8. GPDR Compliance
9. Intellectual property rights
1. Code of Conduct
At all times, when taking part in our classes and events, and when using our online communities, you must follow our Code of Conduct, which can be found here: https://www.houseofplay.dk/code-of-conduct. Not complying with the Code of Conduct may lead to cancellation of membership and/or tickets.
You must be 21 years of age to attend activities at House of Play unless otherwise specified.
2. Memberships
Membership gives you free access to a number of our regular, weekly or monthly activities per month.
You also get a 20% discount on our other activities like special workshops, weekend workshops, play parties and continuous classes.
Members can also bring a non-member friend to our regular activities for free.
Read more about memberships here: https://www.houseofplay.dk/choose-your-membership.
3. One-time tickets, cancellation policy and no-show fee
Non-members can buy tickets to any activity unless otherwise specified.
For both members and non-members: Signing up for any event or course is personal, binding and non-refundable. However for most activities you can cancel your participation and save your ticket for another similar activity as described below.
A) Regular activities
For our regular, weekly and monthly activities you can cancel your participation by logging in on our website. You can then use your ticket for a similar activity within the next two months. This is also possible for play parties, where you can sign up for another play party within the next five months.
Please note, the cancellation deadline is 5 hours before the activity starts (10 hours for play parties). If you cancel later than this, or don’t show up for an activity:
Members who signed up for a free-for-members activity, will be charged a no-show fee of 50 kr.
Non-members who bought a ticket for the activity will lose that ticket.
The no-show fee is to avoid spots being blocked by people that do not make use of them. The cancellation deadline is to give people on waiting lists a fair chance to get ready for the activity.
B) Special events and weekend workshops
For special workshops and weekend workshops, the cancellation deadline is 14 days before the activity starts, by writing to us on info@houseofplay.dk. You will get a gift card for the paid amount minus a fee of 200 kr to cover transaction fees and administration.
It is not possible to cancel your ticket later than 14 days before this kind of activity.
The cancellation deadline is to give people on waiting lists a fair chance to get ready for these longer activities, and for the facilitator to plan the activity in advance based on the actual number of participants, and to be able to cancel the activity if needed with a fair warning to participants.
If you cannot attend an activity and the 14 day deadline is passed, you can sell your ticket to another person. In that case, write to us on info@houseofplay.dk that you are selling your ticket and to whom, and make sure the person who is buying it contacts us as well. We will then refund your ticket minus a fee of 200 kr to cover transaction fees and administration.
C) Ongoing courses
For ongoing courses it is not possible to cancel your participation after signing up. This is because participants often plan their participation in this kind of ongoing activity months in advance.
4. Waiting lists
A) Automatic waiting lists for regular activities
We have an automatic waiting list for our regular weekly and monthly activities, as well as play parties. If an activity is fully booked, you can sign up for the waiting list.
If a spot becomes available up to five hours before the activity starts (ten hours for play parties), you will receive an email notification confirming your spot.
People on the waiting list are added in the order they signed up.
The waiting list closes five hours before the activity starts (ten hours for play parties).
After this time, you can still check for last-minute cancellations. If a spot becomes available, you can sign up directly.
When you sign up for the waiting list, you will be charged for a ticket, just as if you were registering for the activity directly. This ensures that you can be added immediately if a spot becomes available.
If you do not get a spot, your ticket remains unused.
You can then use the ticket for a similar activity within the next two months (five months for play parties).
B) Manual waiting list for special and weekend workshops.
For special workshops and weekend workshops there is no automatic waiting list. If an activity is fully booked, write to us on info@houseofplay.dk and inform us you want to be on the waiting list. If a spot becomes available we will write to you and tell you how to sign up for the activity.
People will be added to the waiting list in the order of their sign-ups. If we do not hear back from you, or you do not book your spot within a fair amount of time, we may offer the spot to the next person on the waiting list.
5. Discount for students and people with low income
We give a discount on memberships to people with low income, see https://www.houseofplay.dk/choose-your-membership.
We also give a discount on tickets for our activities to students and people with low income. Contact us on info@houseofplay.dk if you are eligible for a discount.
