Animal Encounters – meet your inner animal and someone else's!
In this workshop we will explore how to embody animals in play, and how this can lead to new and interesting scenes and interactions. Do you have an inner animal that wants to come out? What type of animal is it? How does it like to interact with other animals?
We are all animals, (Animalia, Chordata, Mammalia, Primates, Hominidae, Homo, sapiens), but somewhere along the way we were domesticated (by who?). We became socialized in ways that separated us from our animal bodies (clothes!) and our animal impulses, and in our day to day we are often fighting back against these animal urges. Some of these socializations may also have been learning unhealthy relationships to sex (scarcity! shame!), our bodies, our smells, our sounds, and our desires.
While don’t promise to re-wild you in a 3 hour workshop, we can show you how to play with animal archetypes to access different parts of your sexuality, to step into other roles than you normally may inhabit, and to access the joy in animal play which can hopefully help with your deprogramming.
In the workshop we will take you through a zoological speed dating so you can try on different animals, and find one that feels good to you. We will also explore how to play, express your desires, and negotiate consent without words, while at the same time expanding your vocal repertoire to encompass more of the animal kingdom.
There will also be time to touch upon some of the more classical animal based power dynamics which are already a part of ßDSM traditions (predator/prey, pet/owner, training etc). Come find your animal sides and take a step into the wild!
WHO IS THIS FOR?
Anyone who wants to explore their animalistic sides, and is curious at embodying animals during play. Pets and pet owners (In the ßDSM sense) are also very welcome to join.
CAN I JOIN AS A BEGINNER?

Dunbear (they/them)
Dunbear is a hedonist and practitioner of sex magic. They have been hosting play parties and sex positive workshops in Copenhagen since 2016, and are a co-creator of Kinky Salon Copenhagen, one of the city’s most colorful sex positive parties. Dunbear has an exploratory and expansive approach to BDSM, seeking to emphasize the playful nature of sex. This makes House of Play a natural fit for them. They prioritize community building, and see sexual liberation as a tool to undermine the abstraction and isolation of capitalist society, gender norms, patriarchy, and the meaninglessness of daily life. They often embody animals in their play, and are excited to share this practice with you.
