Japanese Rope Bondage Beginner’s Weekend
Rope is perhaps the most versatile tool in the erotic toolbox. From meditative bonding to intensely polarised sessions, rope can help us explore deeper into the realms of polarity, power, surrender, non-verbal communication and connection. It can be a wonderful tool for creating a deep presence between two people.
Through two intensive and inspirational days you will get lots of hands-on experience, playful sessions, and how-to knowledge about the world of rope play.
We will open the doors to how and why rope play can be such an intimate, juicy, beautiful, and sometimes transformative experience between two people.
You will learn basic techniques for how to tie in a safe and effective way. And we will dive into the surrender of being tied, and all the emotions and sensations it can bring. We will have lots of sessions where we practise and play with the many possibilities of rope play, always consent based and within your personal limits.
This weekend immersion is a great way to start your journey with Japanese Rope Bondage, also called Shibari and Kinbaku. It is also a good possibility if you have played with ropes for some time and want to improve your skills and your understanding of how you get the most out of this amazing kind of play.
We will touch upon subjects like
Taking control and letting go - the dynamics of power, presence, polarity and surrender in ropes
Connection and wordless communication through ropes
Aesthetics and the beauty of suffering
Consent and building trust in play
WHO IS THIS FOR
This is both for you who want to be tied, who want to learn how to tie - and for you who want to dive into both. This is a beginner’s course, so you need no prior experience in Japanese Rope Bondage. If you have some experience but want to improve your skills, this is also a great course for you.
You can join alone or as a couple. Throughout the course, we will encourage you to shift roles, to build experience with both tying and being tied. If you are willing, we will also shift partners through the exercises. If you want to only tie with a partner, that’s okay of course.
The course is for all genders, bodies, and sexual orientations.
WHAT TO BRING
Bring at least five ropes of app. 8 meters x 6 mm, made from jute or hemp. Contact us for advice on where to buy good rope. We also have a limited number of ropes you can borrow.
Wear clothes you feel comfortable and can move freely in.

Tickets are non-refundable, but you are welcome to resell your ticket in case you cannot participate.
Jac Fabian (he/him)
Jac has many years of experience in Japanese Rope Bondage and in teaching all levels from beginners to very advanced bondage classes, with a focus on presence, deep polarity and connection, dominance, surrender and aesthetics. He has learned from many of the best teachers in Japan and Europe and has been invited to perform in Tokyo and at The Royal Theatre in Copenhagen. Jac also teaches many other aspects of conscious kink.
Gabrielle (she/her)
Gabrielle has been both tying and getting tied for the past 8 years. She has attended many workshops to learn from some of the most experienced riggers and models from Europe and Japan. Together with Jac Fabian she has taught ropes and performed at various occasions. She also teaches a variety of different aspect of conscious kink and consent. Gabrielle is passionate about continuously learning and staying curious, playing with authenticity and humour, and how awareness of our sexuality can bring deeper connections
