Kink and Art as Ideological Tools:
Exhibition and Play Party
House of Play is excited to co-create this art and kink event with the Cumfort initiative. Cumfort was founded in 2023 as a volunteer-run love project, creating spaces and queer communities for sharing experiences and busting taboo in art and culture.
This Cummunity Night is an afternoon and evening dedicated to radical care and play.
AFTERNOON
The afternoon is created by Comfort, who have invited several leading and current cultural creators in the queer and kink community to share their art, work and reflections with us. We start with an exhibition of queer and erotic art and photography, followed by a screening of Frida Retz' art porn Under the Cherries (2024).
This first half of the event will be rounded off with a moderated panel discussion based on the question of how we organize ourselves in a caring and present way. We believe that our communities are endowed with unique and important experiences and reflections, and the goal is to create space for safe sharing of experiences between minorities, and to get more communities to provide perspectives on the democratic agenda, and hopefully work towards a more diverse association life.
EVENING
After a short break, where you'll be able to go out and buy dinner in the area, House of Play will facilitate a beginners-friendly workshop and Play Party. We will have a large play space for slow and connected play, and a vibrant dance floor with a DJ. You can also mingle in the cozy lounge and enjoy a non-alcoholic beverage from the bar.
Please notice that the event is two-fold, and therefore two different tickets to purchase:
One for the afternoon only, from 16:00 to 19:00. Or a full ticket for the entire afternoon and evening. it is not possible to participate in the evening event only.

19:00 - 21:00 Break to go get food in the area. You're welcome to bring the food to eat at House of Play
21:00 Doors close for the evening - you cannot arrive after this time

WHO IS THIS FOR?
This two-fold event is for all queers and kinksters, with an interest and/or curiosity towards community building, art and culture. You can come alone, with friends and partner(s). We hope to gather a diverse group in terms of experience, sexuality and gender identity. In short: everyone is welcome, and able to participate on their own terms. This event is for the nurturing of our communities and the shared experiences between - it is for conversation, art and the deconstruction of norms and taboos.
If you're not interested in joining the facilitated workshop and Play Party, you're able to buy a ticket exclusively for the first part from 16:00-19:00. But we encourage you to participate fully, for a fun and safe experience.
CAN I JOIN AS A BEGINNER?
Absolutely!
DRESSCODE
We encourage you to come as comfortable (and sexy) as possible! Feel free to be a little extra cunty, wear that thing you left in the back of your closet for a special occasion. If you want, you can change before the play space opens.
WHAT TO BRING
If you are participating in the Play Party:
If you have tools to play with, please bring them. We have a limited amount of tools you can borrow.
A towel/sarong/sheet to put under you when playing.
A water bottle with a lid - no open containers in the play space.

Afternoon: 80 kr for House of Play members, 100 kr non-members.
Afternoon+evening: 220 kr for House of Play members, 275 for non-members.
Low income tickets: 80 kr/220 kr - please write to info@houseofplay.dk for info.
It is not possible to participate in the evening event only.

ABOUT THE CO-ORGANISER, CUMFORT
Cumfort is a volunteer-run loveproject, founded in 2023 by Kathrine Wind (she/her) and Terese Lindegaard (she/her). The project stems from a desire to create space for safe sharing of experiences. We believe that art and culture can foster the communities and conversations that are difficult to have - even with like-minded people.
We experience a tendency towards gatekeeping and loneliness in the queer community, which unfortunately has an exclusionary effect on an already vulnerable group.
Therefore, we see a need for more taboo-busting communities that can create a loving space for sharing tools, and we see great importance in being able to see oneself reflected in the other. In the association, our work is based on questions about how we can organize ourselves with care and presence - if we look at taboo topics with care, what can we learn from it?
