🔥 Kink, Attachment & Somatics

A House of Play Workshop with Li Tadaa

Is your play opening you… or replaying old wounds?

I’ve spent over 10 years in the sex-positive, kink, and tantra world. I’ve had ecstatic highs, deep connections – and I’ve also had crashes, confusion, and painful patterns show up in love, sex, and play.

That’s why I created this workshop.

I want to offer you a space to get radically honest about your play –

  • Is it bringing you into deeper connection, or is it sometimes overwhelming or leaving you feeling off-center?

  • Is it helping you stay present… or taking you somewhere else entirely?

✨ In this 3-hour journey, I’ll invite you to:

  • Explore whether your play is healing or reenactment

  • Feel into how present you actually are when you're in your desires

  • Recognize the difference between adult sexual longing and unmet childhood needs

  • Discover how your nervous system responds to intensity—so you can stay more grounded and sovereign

  • Connect to play that is conscious, mature, and alive without needing to perform or escape

We’ll use tools from somatic trauma therapy, attachment work, relational inquiry, and embodied awareness – but we’ll also dance, play, and have fun. Because for me, joy and connection are the foundation for deeper healing.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Dance, Play and Connect!

  • Somatic Awareness – Recognize your nervous system states & grounding tools

  • Understanding Your Childhood Needs – Inner parts, attachment, unmet longings

  • Embodied Adult Play – What mature, conscious, connected play can feel like

💌 Come Play With Me

I don’t want to tell anyone how to play.

I’m not here to shame anyone’s desire.

But I am here to offer more options – so that your kink, your turn-on, your rituals of intimacy and pleasure can come from a place of clarity, presence, and deep self-love.

Let’s Grow up – together.

With love,
Li Tad

🧠 Some background theory we’ll touch on:

Using Intensity to Dissociate into Ecstasy

  • Example: intense spanking, blindfolds, tantric orgasms, etc.

  • ✨ Potential benefits: bliss, new perspectives, escape from anxiety.

  • ⚠️ Potential risks: disconnection from emotions, reinforcing flight/freeze states, relying on leaving the body to feel pleasure.

  • → Solution: Learn to recognize your nervous system states and practice playing within your window of tolerance.

Unmet Childhood Needs Driving Adult Sexual Desires

  • Example: Feeling anxious before play but great relief after, feeling desperate for play, feeling low or anxious when you don’t get it.

  • ✨ Potential benefits: Can be an efficient way to move out of difficult emotions, better than numbing with substances; can be part of healing.

  • ⚠️ Potential risks: addiction to sexual highs, anxious/avoidant dynamics or emotional dependency in relationships, reenactment of trauma.

  • → Solution: Learn to meet childhood needs in non-sexual ways and engage from your mature self in adult play.

What does “overcoupling” mean?

In somatic trauma therapy, overcoupling refers to when two experiences or emotions get neurologically “tied together” as one. Often, this is a leftover strategy from childhood.

Examples:

  • I cry instead of getting angry – because anger wasn’t safe growing up.

  • I get horny every time I’m anxious – because masturbation or sex became my way to self-soothe.

  • I can’t be alone – because I overcoupled romantic love with parental safety.

When we bring presence to these patterns, we can start to untangle them – and open up new possibilities for how we relate, love, and play.
